Page 1 of 2 It was the fall of 1989. The University of La Verne was expanding with new growth and record enrollment. The dorms were brimming to capacity with students. The University made its first move eastward when it initiated construction of the Oaks Residence Halls.
In student life, there was much to be involved with. Students had the option of joining many clubs, including two fraternities, three sororities, and one co-ed fraternity.
