The Mighty Phi

California Rho began in 1990 as Sigma Tau Xi local fraternity. Men from different backgrounds came together under the umbrella of brotherhood, to encourage each others' academic, social, moral and philanthropic pursuits. It was their vision to create a fraternity that would continue far after their graduation. This came to fruition in 1995, when the California Rho colony was chartered as a chapter of Phi Delta Theta International fraternity. Since then, over 160 men have been initiated as Brothers.
